Higher Power

The words Higher Power or HP and God are often used interchangeably by many people. I do not use the words God and Higher Power interchangeably. 

My HP is spiritual, an all encompassing feeling, a movement, a power greater than me. My HP is more human and shows itself as the best in people. And I connect with the best in people. I do not want to avoid precious days because they are days filled with connections with people. A Higher Power is magic, a shining light, an energy like a flower opening. I understand why people worship the light and the sun because it’s the opposite of darkness

The word Higher means the best of me, the Real Bonnie, above the trivialities in life that might handcuff me. The word Power means the strength to do the things to take care of myself and the courage to do the things I need to do, even if I don’t want to do them. This Power brings my heart out with all people, giving me the freedom to be the Real Bonnie.
