Prom Dress

This is me at a high school dance. I’m the girl without the glasses. Looking back I can see how beautiful my dress was. Back then I didn’t appreciate my dress at all because my mom made it. I wanted a store bought dress.

My mother actually worked doing piece work in a ‘sweat shop’ sewing dresses and gowns for TV shows like Lawrence Welk.
